Graphic of a two-headed lizard from eXistenZ

Collaborators: eXistenZ: Bioports and Pods

In eXistenZ, a game is played by connecting an organically grown “gamepod” to the spine via a fleshy umbicord, which allows players to lose themselves in the virtual reality. Unlike real-world consoles and controllers, eXistenZ gamepods are the products of biotechnology, a fusion of organic material and machine. Hear from Stephan Dupuis as he discusses the creative process behind these pods.
