Beverly and Elliot Mantle, the two characters portrayed by Jeremy Irons in Dead Ringers, are identical twins who share everything: a home, profession, and, often, lovers. There are, however, striking contrasts in their personalities, differences which were expressed through both Jeremy Irons’ performance, but also through costume.
