Seth Brundle (Jeff Goldblum) buys Veronica Quaife (Geena Davis) a necklace in Kensington Market. Cronenberg was reluctant to cast a real-life couple in the movie, but upon reading Goldblum’s copy of the script, Davis was determined to audition for the female lead and, ultimately, won the role of Veronica.
